Teach English in Mexico
CrossRoads Missions Mexico is excited to announce the launching of an internship program centered around our growing “English House.” This program will be a valuable opportunity for college students or young adults to experience teaching English in Mexico. We serve the people of Piedras Negras, and we are hoping to introduce classes for immigrants currently living in the city. The classes offered at The English House range from beginners with zero English experience to advanced students looking to further refine their English skills. What sets apart The English House from other schools in Piedras is you! It is the only school in town taught entirely by native speakers! Our students are excited to get to learn from and speak to Americans!
The internship we have built will operate on either an eight-week or 16-week block. Both options include two weeks of acclimation and preparation prior to the start of classes. The courses are six weeks long, and they meet twice a week. A normal week for an intern in our English House would involve lesson planning and preparation, direct instruction, and possibly assisting in other classes as needed. Teachers in our English House are required to complete their TEFL licensure before arrival, which will be covered by CrossRoads Missions.
This position is self-fundraised, so you will be responsible for your housing and living expenses during your time here.
